ERIN HOLMES

Erin Holmes is an Australian soprano who made her operatic role debut in Italy at the International Lyric Academy (ILA) in 2018 as Papagena from The Magic Flute and La Novizia in Suor Angelica. Erin’s Australian debut was as the First Witch with The State Opera of South Australia (SOSA) in Dido and Aeneas. She recently toured Australia with Co Opera’s Don Giovanni as chorus leader and the role of Zerlina (cover), but was called in last minute to sing the role of Donna Anna from Mozart’s Don Giovanni in multiple performances due to cast illness.
She has performed professionally in Australian productions of The Merry Widow, Carmen, Dido and Aeneas, Don Giovanni, Die Fledermaus and Don Pasquale and as a soloist in concert performances of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Mozart’s Missa Brevis’ in B flat and D, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Britten’s Ceremony of Carols.
Erin is looking forward to continuing her studies and performances internationally in 2019, initially in Italy performing Despina for ILA, Scotland for this performance of Die Fledermaus, Germany for a Bel Canto intensive summer school and then to the US to continue her undergraduate vocal studies.
