Hello
Soprano Roxana Nite studied music at the Music Conservatoire in Constanta, Romania. She is now based in Scotland where she teaches singing, piano, music theory and is also a choir instructor. Roxana is a great motivator and loves to empower people to achieve their dream. She has a wealth of experience in both performing and teaching and regularly prepares students for exams, competitions, festivals, auditions and concerts.
Her Story
Roxana is also the Founder, Artistic Director and Vocal Coach of Clyde Opera and she has participated in many recitals and opera performances across Europe (Romania, Germany, Holland) and the UK. Roxana was the producer of all the operas performed by Clyde Opera and is very excited to direct The Barber of Seville this summer.
The roles she has performed are: Adina (L’Elixir d’Amore), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Countess (The Marriage of Figaro), Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus), The Soprano (Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme), Veta (A stormy night), Hebe and L’Amour (Les Indes Gallantes), Micaëla (Carmen) and Tosca (Tosca). In November 2023 Roxana willsing the role of Rita from Donizetti’s opera “Rita” in Edinburgh (4th) and Glasgow (5th) with soloists from Clyde Opera Group, more details can be found on the website.
Roxana has collaborated with various choirs across Scotland and she has sung Missa Criolla (Ramirez), Christmas Oratorio (Saint-Säens), The Armed Man (Karl Jenkins), A German Requiem (Brahms), Requiem (Faure), Requiem and Missa Brevis in B flat Major (Mozart), Gloria (Vivaldi), Messiah (Händel), Requiem (Verdi) and more.
In 2022, the President of Romania, Mr Klaus Iohannis, awarded Roxana the Order of “Cultural Merit” in the rank of Knight, Category F – “Promotion of Culture”. This very prestigious medal has been offered to Roxana in appreciation for herimportant contribution to the promotion of Romania’s image, research and culture in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
