About This Production
La Bohème holds a special place in the Clyde Opera story. It was the very first full opera we staged — in July 2016 — and ten years on, we are proud to bring it back as the centrepiece of our anniversary season.
Puccini's masterpiece tells the story of young bohemian artists living and loving in the garrets of 19th-century Paris. It is a work of extraordinary tenderness, humour, and heartbreak — one of the most performed and beloved operas in the world, and one that never fails to move its audience.
This production features an international cast of soloists assembled specifically for our 10th anniversary season, performing under the baton of our Musical Director Razvan Luculescu. We are also thrilled to introduce the Clyde Opera Children's Chorus, who will join the cast on stage.
Performances take place at Woodside Halls in Glasgow's West End — an intimate and acoustically rich venue that places you close to the action. Tickets are available at a range of prices, including concessions, to ensure opera is accessible to everyone.
