Roxana Nite

Soprano Roxana Nite graduated from the Music Conservatoire in Constanta (Romania) and she is based in Glasgow where she teaches singing, piano and is also a choir instructor. She had many recitals and opera performances abroad (Romania, Germany, Holland) and in the UK. The roles she sung are: Adina (L’Elixir d’Amore-Donizetti), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte-Mozart), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni-Mozart), Countess (The Marriage of Figaro-Mozart), Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus-Strauss), The Soprano (Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme-A. Enescu), Veta (A stormy night-P.Constantinescu), Hebe and L’Amour in the production of “Les Indes Gallantes” by Rameau together with Woodhouse Opera in Surrey, the Countess from “The Marriage of Figaro” by Mozart in Hastings, the role of Tosca together with North Wales Opera Company and Studio.
In Scotland she recently sung in Missa Criolla by A.Ramirez, Christmas Oratorio by Saint-Säens, The Armed Man by Jenkins, A German Requiem by Brahms, Requiem and Missa Brevis in B flat Major by Mozart, Vivaldi’s Gloria or Verdi’s Requiem and more.
Roxana is the founder, Artistic Director and Vocal Coach of Clyde Opera Group. She is also a founding member of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Edinburgh Roxana and a Honorary Cultural Counsellor for the Consulate General of Romania in Edinburgh. In 2016 she was appointed Deputy Lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
